AlphaMCS Provider Portal Training

AlphaMCS is the new software package from AlphaCM that CenterPoint Human Services is using to replace our current system as we move towards the implementation of the NC Medicaid Waiver. This new system will allow us to manage authorizations and claims under Waiver. We are now proud to be offering two unique ways for you to be trained and gain access to the AlphaMCS Provider Portal System. If you prefer a classroom setting we offer curriculum based leader-led training with small classes and experienced instructors. All leader-led AlphaMCS Provider Portal Training will be held in our training room located at 4025 University Parkway. If you prefer an online approach we are now happy to be offering a complete Video Training Series on the AlphaMCS Provider Portal System which can be access at any time. Read below for information and registration for these training opportunities:

To sign up for one of the leader-led training sessions, please contact the CenterPoint Human Services Help Desk by either: Phone - (336) 714-9139 or e-mail - HelpDesk@cphs.org. Your email should include the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Phone Number
  • E-mail Address
  • The Date and Time of the training you would like to attend
  • Alternate Date and Time of the training you would like to attend

    Wait for a response email from our Training Calendar. If you do not receive a response from our Training Calendar verifying you are registered, then you are not registered. Seats are limited to 12 individuals per Training Session/Class therefore we cannot allow people to show up without registering beforehand.

    AlphaMCS Provider Portal Training Manual

    Welcome to AlphaMCS, a next generation Managed Care System designed specifically to meet the needs of Managed Care Organizations and the behavioral healthcare providers they support. This handbook will walk you through the aspects of the provider portal. Note that additional training handouts are available for download from within the video-based training syllabuses listed at the bottom of this page.

    The below Files contain a Video Training Syllabus for each of the three AlphaMCS Provider Portal Classes offered by CenterPoint. Simply click on the link for the training you would like to complete for and follow the instructions contained within the document (online registration, downloading handouts, online course evaluation and online course attestation of completion). Make sure to follow and complete each step in order to receive your AlphaMCS Provider Portal User ID and Password. Videos will open in a YouTube video player window via your internet browser. On slower internet connections, we recommend letting the stream buffer before beginning playback.
